This carved matai kōtare feather is designed to replicate a wing feather of the native sacred kingfisher of New Zealand. Iridescent blue-green paint has been applied to the surface of the carving in order to mimic the captivating colour of the kōtare.

Piece measures 80 x 12 x 2cm and is fitted with a d-ring for easy hanging indoors. Use a soft cloth to dust surface, carving has been finished with a natural beeswax polish.
