The kea is a large, colourful and intelligent parrot inhabiting the alpine regions of New Zealand. Predominantly they are olive green in colour with vibrant orange and red under their wings. Kea feathers have distinctive markings unique amoung the native birds on New Zealand.

This carved kea feather is made from salvaged cedar timber and acrylic paint, measures 62 x 10 x 2cm and is ready to be hung indoors.
