The Kōtuku, or white heron, is found in Australia, the South Pacific and Asia. It’s long, elegant white feathers have been prized by both Maori and Europeans for their ornamental qualities. Kōtuku populations are now small with limited geography in New Zealand.
These feathers have been individually hand crafted from salvaged Rimu timber by Claire Jensen. They have also been layered with white acrylic paint and fitted with a d-ring for easy hanging indoors. Each piece measures 38 x 8 x 1cm and is sent with custom gift packaging.
