The tūī, an iconic bird of New Zealand, is renowned for its striking appearance and melodious song. With its iridescent blue-green feathers and distinctive white throat patch, the tūī captures the essence of the native bush. Its versatile vocalizations range from melodious flutes to chattering calls, often imitating other bird species.

This carved study of a ruffled tail feather is crafted from salvaged matai timber and acrylic blue-black-green paints. Piece measures 46 x  9 × 1cm and is fitted with a tri-ring for easy hanging indoors and is finished with a beeswax polish.

Not recommended for display in full sun or near heat, a soft cloth may be used to dust if necessary.
