Kererū Feather Pair in Matai

The Kereru, or native wood pigeon, is another of New Zealand’s most treasured birds. They are large, rotund pigeons that may be found in the foliage of large trees around the North Island including in the back yards of Kiwi homes. The feathers of the Kereru have a subtle iridescence and are coloured grey-green-purple.
This set of flight feathers have been individually hand crafted from salvaged matai timber and finished with paint and graphite to achieve a subtle colour change effect. D-rings are installed on the rear and the feathers are ready to hang. These feathers are ‘medium’ size and each measure 44 x 10 x 1cm.
