The Kererū, or native wood pigeon, is one of New Zealand’s most treasured birds. They are large, rotund pigeons that may be found in the foliage of large trees around the North Island including in the back yards of Kiwi homes. The feathers of the Kererū have a subtle iridescence and are coloured grey-green-purple.

This wing feather has been individually hand crafted from salvaged matai timber and finished with iridescent paint achieve a subtle colour change effect. A D-ring is installed on the rear and the feather is ready to hang indoors. This feather measures 40 x 8 x 1cm. 

Avoid display in full sun or near heat, use a soft cloth to dust when necessary.
